Grams to Cups — FAQs
How many grams are in a cup?
It depends on the ingredient, because a cup is a volume and grams are a weight. A cup of all-purpose flour is about 120 g, a cup of granulated sugar about 200 g, and a cup of water 237 g. Pick the ingredient in the table above.
How do I convert grams to cups?
Divide the grams by the weight of one cup of that ingredient. For flour (β120 g per cup), 240 g Γ· 120 β 2 cups. The converter handles other ingredients too.
Why isn't there one grams-to-cups number?
Because different ingredients pack differently. 100 g of flour fills far more of a cup than 100 g of honey. Always convert by ingredient β weigh when precision matters.
